Day 01: Delhi
Arrivals at Delhi airport followed by meet & greet with our representatives who shall transfer you to a pre-booked hotel. Rest of the day at leisure followed by overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast proceed for sightseeing of the capital city which starts from Old Delhi. The ornate buildings of Red Fort, Jama Masjid and the market of Chandni Chowk would surely recall the days when India was called the ‘Sone ki Chidiya’ meaning the golden sparrow- a title coined to emphasize the wealth and prosperity enjoyed during those times.
Post lunch visit to the 11th century Qutab Minar, India Gate, the President’s House, Mahatama Gandhi Memorial. Also visit Humayun Tomb and Lotus temple followed by return drive to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Mandawa
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Mandawa, also called the ‘open air art gallery of Rajasthan'. The most famous part of Shekhawati region, Mandawa showcases Havelis and mansions richly adorned with high quality frescoes. Post lunch sightseeing of Mandawa as we observe and appreciate from close quarters the beauty and charm of these masterpieces that have withstood the test of time. Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Murmuria Haveli, Goenka Double Haveli and Jhunjhunwala Haveli are the most famous attractions that we shall be covering in detail.
Night stay in Mandawa.
Day 04: Bikaner
After breakfast drive to Bikaner. Arrive Bikaner check in at Hotel later proceed to visit the world-famous Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace and the Fort Museum. In evening visit Camel Breeding Farms, where you can also ride the camels. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 05: Jaisalmer
Morning drive to Jaisalmer regarded as the most beautiful city of Rajasthan, en-route visiting the picturesque Desert village. Upon arrival at Jaisalmer, check-in at a luxury hotel. Post lunch explore this colorful & fascinating place or visit its local market selling a wide variety of ethnic goods and handicrafts. Overnight stay at Jaisalmer Hotel.
Day 06: Jaisalmer
Full day sightseeing of Jaisalmer visiting its famous Havelis and mansions that stands today as a testimony to its glorious past. Patwon ki haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli, Sonar Kila and Nathmalji Ki Haveli are a must visit for anyone. Evening visit the famous Sam sand dunes for a short excursion trip. Enjoy camel safari in the picturesque sand dunes and the traditional song & dance program. Follow it up with a bonfire dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 07: Jodhpur
Morning drive to Jodhpur, the Gateway to the Thar Desert and upon arrival check-in at a hotel. Jodhpur sightseeing starts from the famous palatial structure Mehrangarh Fort. Located at a hill 150 m above ground level, the fort dominates the entire region providing bird’s eye view of the whole of Jodhpur region. Apart from its mammoth size, the fort possesses splendid Rajput architecture, exquisite carvings and frescoes and a regal experience to its guests, as the fort has now been converted into a heritage hotel. Overnight stay at Jodhpur Hotel.
Day 08: Jodhpur
After breakfast sightseeing of Jodhpur visiting its three most famous historical monuments – Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mehrangarh Fort. These monuments are ideal to observe and experience the regality and opulence that the royals enjoyed apart from the supreme artistic skills of workers. Overnight stay at Jodhpur hotel.
Day 09: Jaipur
Morning drive to Jaipur- the “pink city” and capital of Rajasthan, and upon arrival at Jaipur check-in at a luxury hotel. Jaipur has nine rectangular sectors subdividing it that symbolizes the nine divisions of the universe, a concept believed to be the only of its kind in the world. It was named after Maharaja Jai Singh, the former ruler of Jaipur and today its exquisite forts, palaces and mansions where royalty resided during the yesteryears are now world famous tourist attractions.
Day 10: Jaipur
Full day sightseeing of Jaipur visiting its plethora of tourist attractions. Start from the majestic Amber Fort set against the backdrop of the wooded hills and take feel like a Indian Maharaja riding an elephant to reach to its entrance. This is followed by visit to the Hawa Mahal also known as the Palace of Winds. This exquisite building is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from where royal ladies could watch the royal processions passing by. Observe the Jantar Mantar renowned the world over for accurately measuring astronomy since the 17th century. Evening set out for a short excursion trip to Chokhi dhani (an ethnic village resort) where you shall see and observe the culture and tradition that Rajasthan possesses. Special programs like Rajasthani dances, puppet show and various other interesting activities shall be organized. Night stay in Jaipur.
Day 11: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri-the so- called “ghost town” with its perfectly preserved red sandstone fort. Built in 1569, the place used to serve as the capital of mughal emperor Akbar but was later abandoned when its water supply failed. The drive continues and upon arrival check-in at a hotel.
Post lunch visit the Red fort - the majestic and rusty red-sandstone monument sprawling on the banks of the river Yamuna. The fort was built by the greatest of all Mughal rulers- Akbar in the year 1566 and it comprises of several famous buildings that served royal causes. The Diwan-I-Am (hall of public audience) is where Emperor heard public petitions, and the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) is where Emperor used to meet with foreign ambassadors. This building is also popular four housing the famous gem studded peacock throne for the emperor.
Later set out for the sunset view of the majestic Taj Mahal -one of the seven wonders of the world. Regarded as the most extravagant symbol of love ever created by men, Taj Mahal took 20,000 men and 17 years of labor to be completed in all its heavenly glory. Rest of the evening free to explore Agra’s rich heritage of handicrafts in its markets followed by overnight stay at the Agra hotel
Day 12: Agra - Delhi
Your memorable Rajasthan heritage tour concludes as our representatives drive you to Delhi. This is followed by in-time transfer to international airport for onward/return journey.
