Day 01: Delhi
Arrival at Delhi international airport followed by transfer to your hotel for check-in.
The sprawling metropolis was once the capital of kingdoms and empires and presents a fascinating blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect introduction to the kaleidoscope - that is India.
Overnight will be at Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi – Jaipur
After breakfast drive to beautiful Pink City - Jaipur.
Upon arrival at Jaipur check in at hotel.
A romantic realm of resplendent palaces, regal Maharajahs and mighty fortresses, this capital city of Rajasthan lies in an utterly unique part of India. Named after its venerated founder Jai Singh II, Jaipur is known as the 'Pink City' on account of the distinctive color of its buildings. This title relates to the incident in 1856 when in honor of a State Visit from Prince Albert, the city was given a wash of pink.
This evening, visit Chowki Dhani for an eventful excursion trip. An tourist resort based on traditional theme of Rajasthan, one may enjoy puppet shows, song & dance program and get Mehandi (organic tattoo) applied to your arms. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Day 03: Jaipur
Morning proceed for an excursion trip to Amber Fort located at the outskirts of Jaipur. The ascent to the fort atop an Elephant is one of its prime attractions.
Amber Fort Palace Constructed in 1592 by Man Singh I, Amber is a fine example of classic romantic Rajasthani fort palaces. Inside the dominating façade and exterior lies a paradise comprising of a ultimate synthesis expressing the Mughal and Hindu styles.
This is followed by a tour of Jaipur city.
City Palace- a delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, Jantar Mantar –the observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments still in use and Hawa Mahal - The ornamental facade also known as "Palace of Winds" are our next destinations before we wrap up our Jaipur sightseeing tour.
Overnight will be at Jaipur.
Day 04: Jaipur - Bundi
After breakfast, drive to Bundi, check-in at hotel, village tour of Bundi.
Bundi is one of the most popular and highly frequented destinations in the region. Chitrashala “a gallery of mural paintings”, Taragarh fort & the stepwell of Raniji constitutes the chief attraction that we shall be covering in detail.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Bundi - Udaipur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur and upon arrival proceed for the sightseeing of the small town.
A lovely land hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravallis, Udaipur is known as the City of Dawn. This fascinating blend of sights, sound and experiences symbolizes romance and beauty, making it one of Rajasthans most romantic destination.
A kingdom ruled by the Sisodia dynasty for 1200 Years, Udaipur is indeed the jewel of Mewar. Rest of the day free to explore and unravel this mystical land. Overnight will be at Udaipur.
Day 06: Udaipur
Proceed for sightseeing tour of Udaipur, starting from City Palace. Peacock Courtyard, colored glass windows, ivory doors and mirrored walls with inlaid marble balconies makes its beauty spellbound. Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens, the Jagdish Temple and the Local Folk Museum are our next destinations.
In the evening set out for Motor launch cruise on the tranquil waters of Lake Pichola. View the city of Udaipur rising above the lake in the middle of the Rajasthan desert. The Jag Mandir Palace, another picturesque island on lake Pichola is where our night stay shall be organized.
Day 07: Udaipur – Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur.
En-route, visit the 15th century Ranakpur Temples famous for its 200 pillars, none of which are alike. Visit the Temple of the Sun God with its erotic sculptures and other famous ones displaying intricate friezes and sculptures. Also visit Bishnoi Vilalge located near the border of Jodhpur to observe the rich culture and true essence of India.
Upon arrival at Jodhpur check-in at the hotel. The imperial city of Jodhpur is set at the edge of the Thar Desert. Founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha-chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs believed to be a descendants of Rama - the epic hero of the Ramayana. The massive Mehrangarh Fort built in 15th century dominates the town which is by a high 10 km long wall with 8 gates and innumerable bastions.
Overnight will be at Jodhpur.
Day 08: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
After breakfast start sightseeing of Jodhpur also known as the gateway to the desert beyond. The Mehrangarh Fort located atop a hill overlooks the city housing several exquisite forts inside added by successive rulers. After its sightseeing, we proceed towards Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace exhibiting equally sublime architectural splendor and specimens of Rajput design.
This is followed by drive to Jaisalmer.
Located at the heart of the Thar Desert, the city of Jaisalmer is a major destination of Rajasthan. The palatial Jaisalmer Fort with its awesome splendor dominates the amber-hued city.
In the afternoon, proceed for a short excursion to picturesque Sam Sand Dunes. Observe the typical Rajasthani culture, the majestic view of the sunset and enjoy a traditional dinner while Rajasthani musicians playing haunting tunes.
Stay overnight at Jaisalmer.
Day 09: Jaisalmer
Full day sightseeing tour of The Golden City - Jaisalmer. The city mainly comprises of yellow sandstone monuments with intricate carvings, facades and elaborate balconies. The town offers numerous tourist attractions for the visitors, the Jaisalmer Fort being the most famous amongst them. Other destinations include Patwon-Ki-Haveli, Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli, Gandhi Sagar Tank and Barabagh Hill.
The Royal Cenotaphs is also worth visiting. Overnight will be at Jaisalmer.
Day 10: Jaisalmer - Bikaner
Proceed to Bikaner after breakfast. Reach and check in at hotel.
Bikaner – Retaining the medieval splendor that pervades the city's lifestyle, serving a timeless appeal is the heritage city of Bikaner. Also known as the camel country, it is said that the best riding camels in the world are found at its sandy terrain. Relax in the evening. Overnight will be at Bikaner.
Day 11: Bikaner - Mandawa
Morning after breakfast proceeds for sightseeing tour of Bikaner.
The founder of Jodhpur Rao Bikaji founded this desert town in 1488. The Junagarh Fort constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Jai Singh is its major landmark. We shall also be visiting the Camel-Breeding Farm - the only one of its kind in Asia. The sacred temple of Karni Mata is another must visit.
Later in the day, drive to Mandawa and upon arrival check-in at a luxury hotel.
Rising out to the horizon like a mirage, Mandawa with its ancient yet remarkably well preserved Havelis showcasing finest murals and frescoes is called the ‘Open air art gallery’ of Rajasthan. Visit the Mandawa Castle providing breathtaking views of the town from its terrace. The in-house museum with its collection of precious arms with jade handles, traditional ceremonial costumes etc. is worth a visit. One shall also find an interesting collection of costumes and antiques paintings, jade etc. The town was built in 1775 by Thakur Nawal Singh along with Nawalgarh and the Castle has now been converted into a heritage hotel. Its regal courtyard and the terrace hosts comes alive in the evenings with candle-lit dinners and fire-dances.
Overnight will be at Mandawa.
Day 12: Mandawa – Delhi
After breakfast take a walking tour of the splendid ‘havelis’ known throughout the world for their artistic brilliance. Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Chowkhani Haveli, Mohahanlal Saraf Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli and Bhagchandika Haveli are must see. The latter part of the day shall be spent observing, experiencing and marveling at these finest specimen of art that existed during the bygone era.
Also visit Mahensar and Dundlod meeting the local village chief.
Leave for Delhi and reach by evening. Overnight will be at Delhi.
Day 13: Delhi
Full day sightseeing of India’s capital city visiting Old & New Delhi attractions.
Old Delhi - Jama Masjid – one of the largest mosque in India visited by people from all religions and Red Fort – the Red sandstone monument which used to serve as the royal residence for the mughals comprises our chief visits. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandini Chowk.
New Delhi – New Delhi showcases a pleasant blend of historical monuments with new age wonders. Our extensive sightseeing would include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and Lotus Temple.
After the eventful sightseeing, return drive to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 14: Departure
In time transfer to the international airport for your onward/return journey with fond memories of India tour.
