his palatial mansion was built in 1859 and along with other famous Havelis in the nearby area, serves as the treasure trove of ancient history and lavish design. And as with other mansions, Jhunjhunwala Haveli too is displays the unique Rajasthani architecture. The intricately carved ceilings and walls in various shapes including golden leaves create an enchanting experience. Several famous paintings also adorn its walls, amongst them an image of Lord Krishna is one of the most important ones. The painting had Lord Krishna surrounded with Gopis or milkmaids and overall the riot of bright colors accentuates the beauty of the frescoes. The colors are highlighted in gold wash that clearly speaks of the grandeur of that era.
The rooms are huge and lavishly designed decorated with the royal portraits that exude a quaint regal ambience. Speaking volume about the artistry and craftsmanship of bygone era, the Haveli has carved wooden gate as its main entrance while the windows are latticed and carved. Overall the mansion is up there with other Havelis in terms of artistic brilliance, and a must visit for anyone visiting the region.
